WESTWIND Video-Project

Who Speaks for Whom?

Running one’s mouth, giving someone lip, biting one’s tongue, puffing out one’s cheeks, cutting someone short, speaking up for yourself, putting words into someone’s mouth, making someone’s voice heard, taking the floor, standing up for others....

Prior to the festival, ten young people aged 10-14 set off to investigate the question “Who Speaks for Whom?” and illuminate it from different perspectives. And they have done so in the truest sense of the word: based on their personal thoughts, experiences and ideas on the topic, they have developed short films in workshops accompanied by filmmaker Caroline Schwarz and theatre educator Sarah Modeß. Not in just any light, but in black light. It will be fascinating to see what they make disappear and what they render visible as well as how they transform their thoughts into luminous moving images. The videos are available on various digital platforms (social media channels, homepage).

Participants: Maria Bachhuber, Lena Becker, Maxim Beckmann, Amelie Benedix, Sena Frank, Amalia Lieb, Matilda Lieb, Thea Sonnleithner, Florentine Sidhu.

Project management: Sarah Modeß, Caroline Schwarz
