All things must eventually come to an end. That will hopefully apply to the pandemic, but it definitely applies to this year’s WESTWIND festival.

A jury made up of an artistic director, an actress & dancer and a writer have watched each of the festival’s plays, assessed them, written critiques and made their decisions. Hopefully. Because now the time has come to award prize money in the amount of 10,000.00 euros from the state of NRW.

The audience juries have also made their decisions. A children’s jury and a teen jury will award 2,000 euros each to a production of their choice.

The festival will come to a close with the passing of the baton to next year’s organisers in Bochum and an expression of gratitude to the festival team in Cologne.
